Social Media Branding

A Brand New, Effective Marketing Method
As social media marketing continues to gain popularity, traditional advertising on the other hand is slowly being phased out. New research actually indicates that more than 200 million internet users have installed some sort of ad blocking software on their browsers. This is due to the fact that most internet users hate ads popping up every now and then. Also, users no longer trust companies that employ uninventive traditional ads.
Recent statistics indicate that social media marketing is currently on the rise and is further expected to rise by approximately 12% to 15% on average and account for a larger portion of marketing portions. That’s why as an entrepreneur, embracing social media marketing is no longer optional- rather, it’s an essential requirement that will ensure the success of your business. In addition, you need to understand that nowadays, consumers tend to value the recommendations of their family, friends, and colleagues when purchasing products/services, and this often happens when they exchange opinions on social media.
In fact, long-term research indicates that approximately 71% of users who have a positive experience with a certain brand on social media don’t hesitate to recommend it to others. That’s not all. Bop Design estimates that about 80% of consumers are more likely to evaluate solutions from the brands they follow on a social media network.
Therefore, without social media branding to empower your marketing efforts, your sales and marketing team may not reach their set goals, and this may lead to the failure of your business. So as a business owner, social media marketing is not something you can ignore. If social media branding is not something you can do by yourself, you can hire professionals to do it for you. Of course, it will cost you a tidy sum on expenses, but it’s all worth it considering the immense benefits you will reap in the long-term.
Choosing the right social network
Now, with social media branding, one positive experience is not enough to win the loyalty of customers for good. The truth is that loyalty factors have been largely overshadowed by relationship factors, and social media gives you the perfect opportunity to make these factors work to your advantage. That’s why nowadays, true social branding has become all about nurturing a first-class consumer experience.
That being said, how can your business establish beneficial, long-lasting connections with your target audience? Well, first things first, you need to conduct thorough research and identify the most preferred social media platforms for target customers. It’s highly advisable to focus on networks that command a huge social following. Facebook in the case is the ideal choice, with over 2 billion monthly users consisting of approximately 75 per cent users and 83% female users.
LinkedIn may be a much better option for companies that sell their products/services to other businesses. For companies that aspire to reach prospects and customers via visual marketing, Pinterest is an excellent platform. Businesses looking to target younger internet users should consider using platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. Therefore, it’s very important to focus on social media networks that are popular with your target audience and fearlessly face fierce competition in your niche.
Employees as Brand Representatives
Social media has facilitated a smooth, dynamic ecosystem that allows communication to be instantaneous and continuous. Over 2 billion social network users interact every single day with one million new ones joining every day. As such, brands must establish a 24/7 online presence. That’s one of the reasons why mobile-friendly blogs and websites are continually increasing in popularity.
To ensure instantaneous and continuous communication, it’s best that your employees become brand representatives so as to increase your brand awareness on relevant social networks. As brand representatives, your employees will be in a position to provide rapid responses to your customers’ questions and quick solutions for their problems. And considering that customers consume a substantial amount of digital content which does an incredible job establishing trust and spreading your brand awareness, it’s also important to ensure that the content serves their needs and interests, is educational, fun, and free.
Establish the right content strategies
As much as increasing your brand awareness on social networks is important, the kind of content you provide either on your blog or website must resonate with the audience and suit their best interests and passions. The truth is, content strategies and calendars have become important elements that either make or destroy social media branding. Either way, it’s important to note that visual content is 40 times more likely to be shared on social media networks. Also, visual content is a great way to spice up your content strategy and enhance your brand, increase your reach, and earn more new business. And remember that every single post and piece of content should support your main agenda as well as social game plan.
Even after applying the right content strategies, you cannot overlook the aspect of measuring results, which is one problem that remains a challenge in digital marketing. In fact, about a third of digital marketers say they have no idea how their social media content strategies impact on their businesses performance. It’s therefore important to measure key performance indicators like the conversion rate. There are certain tools that can help you achieve this.
Conclusion
Social media accounts are basically the pride of brands’ online persona. They make excellent customer service tools that drive engagement and effectively amplify marketing messages. So if you’ve been underutilizing these social networks, you are definitely missing out on so much. And remember that staying responsive and attentive will help increase your brand awareness and delight your customers with an exceptional experience. Also, be sure to use social media platforms for other forms of communications that can help take your branding efforts to the next level.

Hello there, thanks for sharing this post on social media branding. Social media is one of the best media to get traffic and potential buyers of any product or service. I created my YouTube channel, it was via social media I was able to get some number of subscribers (Facebook and Twitter precisely). I am considering exploring some other social media platforms like LinkedIn and Pinterest because I don’t have a single experience with both. Nice article.

Hi Farid,
Social Media networks are on the rise and here to stay for a long time, as an affiliate marketer a decent portion of my strategy relies on social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Social media branding went beyond corporations and internet marketers to reach any person that has something to say or present to the world. Everyone now has his own TV and can brand himself and become an influencer through social media branding.
Thanks for the article!

Social Media Branding is today’s marketing strategy. I have come to see that if one doesn’t know social media metrics, one does not know how to market properly. Personally, I have never used Instagram and only use Facebook. I do’t really like Instagram but we need it Not setting it up as well as studying it, I regret.

Over the past year, I’ve been focused on building my social media marketing. It’s a lot of work to continually put out fresh content. I noticed when browsing sites like Pinterest, for instance, the same or similar posts stand out all leading to the same site or product. I realized that these people are creating multiple posts (5 or more) each time they want to drive traffic to a site. So now, for every new blog, video, link or product I want to promote, I will do the same. It works but you have to keep at it. This not only takes up a big chunk of time but also requires a lot of creativity so that my posts will stand out from among thousands of others. Thankfully, creativity comes naturally. I wish I had the funds to hire someone to do this for me but that’s not yet the case.

After my second year online I started renting students to help me with social media branding. In that case, it isn’t too expansive 🙂

Hi Farid,
Thank you for your post on Social Branding and the benefits an online business can derive from using social media. Originality and consistency of the content are important in luring traffic to one’s site. Traffic is drawn to websites that have regular content. The content needs to be suited to the audience’s taste which the marketer has found out through research. Such content should target the audience’s pain points and the benefits they stand to gain from buying the product the marketer is trying to promote. Emphasis should be on the benefits derivable to the audience. As you rightly pointed out, content with relevant images and videos are more successful than plain content.
Another important point you raised is knowing your metrics. Google Analytics should be able to provide you with the number of visitors that visited your site and how many converted. That is an important metric you need to have as a marketer in deciding if your advertising campaign has been successful or not. It also helps you decide whether to keep advertising on the same platform or change platforms. Such important financial decisions are fueled by metrics.

I very much agree with you to establish the right content strategies to promote your social media brand. At the same time, for both individuals and companies to let people know their brand on social media, then they must have a certain amount on social media. Followers, or fans, can build success only when they build influence.
The right content strategy can help us achieve this goal, and the final result is measured by conversion rate.
Finally, thank you very much for sharing this blog post about social media branding.

I have just begun my social branding. At first I used Facebook and Instagram but they blocked my website links. Since they are owned by the same entity I thought I was stuck. At first they told me that my website violated community standards but my website sells Bluetooth devices for heaven’s sake. But luckily there are more than those two sites. I created an account with Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn. I still get views from Facebook and I use videos with my website logo prominently on display so if they can’t push a link maybe, just maybe they’ll just type my site address in. Luckily the other three that allow my links have provided me with more views but as pf yet no conversions. Well, I just started my foray into spcial branding so I hope this eventually pays off.

And you know what’s funny about social branding? The Job’s never done 🙂
July 10, 2020 @ 6:33 pm
Hello!
I also believe that there are two forms of advertisment. One being mouth to mouth, for the personal touch has always appealed to us, especially when it comes from some one you trust. The second way is through social media, because it can reach far and wide in a blink of an eye! Not to mention that many people have internet, whether through their phones, PC or laptop!
I also think you are completely correct, branding is a very efficient and effective way to spread the word on your company! Also you cleared up which media platform is best for what your niche is and who your targeting! Great read!
Keep Being AMAZING

Social media is truly taking shape and more and more people are being able to learn how to really use it to their own advantage. Sometimes I tell my friends that my social media platform has become more of an online store or a business hub because of the many businesses that is available on it. And it is not a lie because people have become accustomed to using to to get their products out there. I would start mine too. My online business too and social media is definitely a place for me to advertise.
July 14, 2020 @ 7:41 am
About a week ago I decided to ask one of my younger friends to manage that part, he can really sell a piece of dust via his social media 🙂
July 15, 2020 @ 5:46 pm
I’m curious to know what is your personal favoured social media platform? I know I tend to get sidetracked when I get on there, and have to limit my time. Do you think if you have a personal attraction to a particular social media that that is the one to choose for your business? I have recently heard that You Tube is the new and upcoming social media, and it is great for getting conversions. Would you agree with that?
July 16, 2020 @ 9:39 am
I already used Youtube 10 years ago to promote companies or services, now it’s really the platform to do this. Do you know DailyMotion? That’s a real rising star since they don’t delete videos like Youtube does

Branding is everything these days. To get friends, to get the right traffic and even to generate leads these days, there is a need to give the right packaging and presence to the product or business on social media to entice enough to woo a lot of people over to check it out. Branding is really underrated most tomes but for people who understood the essence, they focus better on branding and getting things right

It makes sense to use social media marketing. Most people you and I know have a facebook
account, let alone other social media platforms. With social media being something that people check daily, if not multiple times a day, I can really see it being more than viable.
How do the actual social media platforms view online marketers? What’s their policy basically. To what extent are they involved?
Do they make it difficult to succeed for marketers or do they have little involvement and let marketers do their thing freely?
August 18, 2020 @ 9:07 am
All I know about the influence of social media is, they get traffic to our sites. Some of them recognise unpaid and advertising, this is one thing we should avoid and about their policy, best read all the small “printed” words, don’t you think?
